Marie Rudisill, The Fruit Cake Lady, rose to stardom on Jay Leno's "Tonight Show" as a fruitcake baker, but achieved her greatest fame, after more than 20 taped segments, advising naïve people on relationships with her signature no-nonsense blunt and hilariously candid advice. Unbeknownst to many, she was the real-life aunt to Truman Capote, and also had small roles in "A Christmas Story", and as a neighbor to Gregory Peck in "To Kill a Mockingbird". She suffered no fools, and was impressed by NO one, to often hilarious results. Perhaps her best relationships advice as Jay's "Ask the Fruitcake Lady" was when she told a woman who asked for the secret to a happy marriage, Marie was quick to reply,"Keep Miss Puss clean." In her 90s, she wrote the book, "Ask the Fruitcake Lady: Everything You Would Already Know If You Had Any Sense".
